I'm no expert in the area of file hosting for downloads, but I bet Leo LaPorte would love to hear from you and offer his advice :)Dave Oplingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429058647738770504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33028507.post-12345911723246818342011-03-20T19:26:56.484-05:002011-03-20T19:26:56.484-05:00Thanks for your advice, Dave. The problem with finding a host that can accommodate more than 10,000 subscribers trying to download over 1GB of video files at the same time is that I'm sure it would cost more than I can afford! Although I agree with you, there is little else I can do. I have a totally different host for the Photography 101 app and there are never any problems with bandwidth since there are much fewer users. (and ironically, 18 more lessons than there is available on iTunes!) The good news is that I've found a second source to use whenever I post a new episode so it won't be affected by those folks downloading the older posts simultaneously. That has taken affect immediately (and yes, this is costing me, too.)

I apologize for the annoyance of trying to download episodes whenever I post a new one and trust me, it aggravates me to no end! But this condition only lasts for a few days at the most, and it's something that I"ve had to learn to live with for now. If you can find me a host that can accommodate me at a modest price AND can handle that kind of bandwidth demand, I would love it if you would let me know!

Regards,

ScottScott Wittenburghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02687865135169323043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33028507.post-22135737314904583112011-03-18T20:04:02.862-05:002011-03-18T20:04:02.862-05:00Scott - you REALLY need to find a new host for you...Scott - you REALLY need to find a new host for your podcasts. There is NO reason they should be as slow as they are, regardless how many are downloading it. I never have trouble with any other of the casts I listen to.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17749230698294247175noreply@blogger.com
